So Here I Am (Cara/Anyone)

Cara got out of the car and looked at her new home in Mystic Falls. It was beautiful, exactly how she knew it would be.

Phoenix heard a car pull up across the street from her house and looked towards the thick, black drapes she had pulled across the window. It was getting dark, so Phoenix could leave her home if she wanted to, but not that she wanted to. She was sat on her couch, one leg up on the arm, leaning back against the other arm. The remote control was clasped in one hand, a manicured finger pressing the channel changing button, trying to find a good program to watch. She stood up and threw the remote down before going to her drapes and sticking her head out and glancing at the woman across the street.

Cara turned around and noticed the woman staring at her from the window. She didn't take any notice really, probably just someone curious of her presence in the neighbourhood. Cara began to moved some boxes into the house.
"Adam can you grab the stuff for our room?" Cara asked her boyfriend.
"Sure sweetheart." he replied as he passed her with a kiss on her cheek making her smile.

Phoenix watched the couple and chuckled a little to herself. She glanced at the sky, seeing it was dark enough for her to go out and headed for her front door, twisting the four locks and the bolt out of the way. Phoenix was careful about where she lived. She opened the door and shut it behind herself before jogging over to the couple. She grinned to them.
"Hey, she said to them. "Welcome to the Neighbourhood."

Cara and Adam turned around to see the woman behind them.
"Hey." Adam smiled.
"Hi, I'm Cara."

[Phoenix Misguided]

"Call me Phoenix," Phoenix said, once again her mind casting back to her real name, a name she refused to use or connect to herself anymore. Her real name was part of her past, and Phoenix wanted to forget her past as quickly as she could. "Let me take a wild shot in the dark,"Phoenix said, grinning still. "You're new the Neighbourhood?"

"Yeah we just moved here from San Diego."

[Phoenix Misguided]

Phoenix nodded. "Nice place," she said. "Only been there myself once."

"A little more quieter here." Adam smiled.
"Yeah, needed to get away from it all." Cara added.

Phoenix nodded and grinned. "I hope you like it here," she told them.

"I do too." Cara smiled.
"Yeah, I ain't moving again." Adam said.

Phoenix laughed and shook her head. "You'll love it here, I'm sure," she told them.

"Hope so." Cara smiled.
"Yeah, despite our little...problem." Adam added as he shifted a box.
"Adam shut up." Cara said suddenly.

"Little problem?" Phoenix asked, one eyebrow raised. "You have a little problem?"

"No he's exagerating."
"Nah we're vampires."

[Phoenix Misguided]

Phoenix laughed at them and shook her head. "Nice to find another one in this place," she said, flashing them her fangs.

"Oh my God I thought-"

Phoenix smirked to her, putting away her fangs. "You thought what?" she asked her.

"You would've thought we were....a little mad."

[Phoenix Misguided]

"Nah, I don't think you're mad," Phoenix said, shrugging. "And I wouldn't do anyway.

Cara smiled.
"So how long have you lived here?"

"Not long," Phoenix told them.

"Nice place?"

"Yep," Phoenix said, nodding.
