An Unlikely Duo (Damon)

[Spike]

Spike was out in the cemetery again. He was looking for a crypt to really get comfortable in, but none of these suited his taste and he wasn't in a mood to live in a house or apartment. He wasn't that much of a poofter. He decided to take a break for a cigarette and drink. He pulled out his pack and flask and began his break, sitting on a headstone and enjoying the night breeze.

[Damon Salvatore]

Damon walked around the cemetery aimlessly. He wasn't usually out this late, without a purpose, but it beat drinking at home, or so he thought. He roamed around and stopped as he spotted someone who he immediately knew was a vampire.

"Jesus, they let more of you out that damn tomb." He muttered as he grabbed a a big enough piece of wood to drive it through the other Vamps heart as he made his way over to him, quietly.

[Spike]

He heard someone coming and didn't put anything away but he was on the defensive. "Oy...can't a guy take a break in peace?" he sighed.

[Damon Salvatore]

"It depends." Damon said, now behind him and the stake in Spike's back. "Who exactly are you?"

[Spike]

He rolled his out, taking a long drag of the cigarette. "The name's Spike..." he said, and within a split second, he spun around and twisted Damon's wrist and knocked the stake out of his hand. "And I prefer to meet someone this way." he smirked.

[Damon Salvatore]

Damon snatched his arm away before his hand was at Spike's throat.

"Well good for you, cause we could always do things this way...Spike." He said.

[Spike]

He kicked Damon in the midsection. "I'm in no mood to play around...all I want is a drink and smoke...can't even do that. It's not like I'm gonna drink and drive."

[Damon Salvatore]

Damon quickly recovered from the kick before slamming Spike into a nearby tree.

"Again, we quit this lovely introduction is you give me more than just your name. What are you doing here?" He said.

[Spike]

"Why the hell do you give a damn?" he snarled, recovering and spearing Damon to the ground.

[Damon Salvatore]

Pushed Spike off of him immediately and got up.

"I'm doing the asking around here."

[Spike]

"Well I don't care." he said, getting defensive.

[Damon Salvatore]

"Too bad, didn't ask you. You are on my territory, therefore we go by what I say. Got it? Good."

[Spike]

"Fine...my name is Spike. I enjoy soap operas, long walks on the beach at night, and drinking myself to sleep."

[Damon Salvatore]

"That's a start. Now give me reason why I shouldn't just kill you now?" Damon said.

[Spike]

"Because I haven't killed anyone...though you're coming damn close to the first. I don't do humans anymore...haven't for a quite a few years now."

[Damon Salvatore]

"Ah, you're one of...those." He said, making a face at Spike saying he doesn't do humans. "....so you have no idea of Katerina Petrova, Fells Church, and so on, and so on?"

[Spike]

He snorted. "Oh...yeah...one of those...sorry, mate...the soul sorta makes me feel a little guilty about murder nowadays." he rolled his eyes. "However...no guilt is felt for killing nasties like you."

[Damon Salvatore]

"Nasties? Oh well aren't we prim and proper. Don't judge if you don't know me."

[Spike]

"Same to ya, poofter." he rolled his eyes. He pulled out another cigarette. "So I assume you're not the welcome wagon...do you go tryin to stake every person you meet?"

[Damon Salvatore]

"Pretty much, makes things interesting if I do say so myself." He replied.

[Spike]

He actually allowed a laugh. "Yeah I guess...must make for an interesting pickup line too."

[Damon Salvatore]

"Women act like they don't like it, but they love it." He said.

[Spike]

"Oh I'm sure...I got one girl that'll go nuts with that joke if you try it with her." he chuckled.

[Damon Salvatore]

"She's a keeper than, I suggest you use my technique to your advantage."

[Spike]

"Oh I have...many many times...and still nothing." he shrugged.
