Damon looked at Buffy for a moment. "Holy...wow...uh..wasn't expecting you to have gone through all of that."

"Looks like we're both guilty of judging...yeah...I was forced to deal with a prophesy when I was 15...I had to die...and I did...I was drowned...so I was dead for like...2 minutes before my friend Xander recusitated me...and then about 5 years later...it was either me or my sister, or the world...and I wasn't gonna let anything happen to them....so I jumped into a vortex and it killed me. And I was at peace. There was no pain, no fear no doubt. I saw my mom, and then the next thing I knew, I was torn out and I woke up in that coffin. After that for months, I couldn't feel anything...not even love for my sister or my friends. I just wanted to feel SOMETHING. But I couldn't let my friends know. They thought I got taken to some hell dimension so they thought bringing me back was the right thing...they didn't know." she said softly. She didn't realize she was so comfortable talkign to him about this.

She chuckled a bit. "Such is the life of a Slayer...I've actually lived a lot longer than most...many of them don't even make it to 20...I used to try and read up on what made the other slayers' final battles so...final...to see what mistakes they made...and...I could never figure it out...it was always just battle, wars, fights, and then death...and that's what scared me...it wasn't anything out of the ordinary when it comes vampire slayers." she admitted.

"I had good friends...if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here...and I had a damn good Watcher." she smiled. "My friends Willow and Tara were really powerful witches...Oz was a werewolf. My friend Xander was human but he was tougher than anything I could imagine. Anya was a former vengeance demon...I had a strong network." she smiled.

"That's the difference between me and the other Slayers...they worked alone. I didn't."

She nodded. "But yeah...I've had my fair share of opponents...vampires, werewolves, crazed vampire/werewolf hunters, a military branch dedicated to testing the supernatural, demons of all shapes and sizes, witches, warlocks, ghosts....is that all?"

"I was born in the 1840's in Mystic Falls, my family was one of the founding families of this town. Before all of this happened, I had a normal life, my father and I clashed a bit, I have a younger brother who I got along with, and I was in the Confederate Army, but I left. Um..to skip ahead to the good stuff, I fell in love with a young woman named Katherine Pierce, I was infatuated with her." He explained. "Sad thing was, she had a thing for my brother as well. She played us against one another, but I couldn't let her go....I knew she was supposed to be with me. I knew Katherine was a vampire and my brother accidentally spilled it to my father who got her locked up, we had a plan to get her out, but in the process we were both shot and killed..."

"....we uh...both had her blood in our systems, so we didn't die and my brother convinced me to complete the transition and feed, and well...here I am now. I wasted over a century trying to find that selfish bitch.." he said letting out a bitter chuckle. "...and well...anyways..yeah...that's my story."

"Mmm...maybe because I'm still human...I still am a sucker for it...considering the love of my life has had a centennial for a birthday...my track record goes...a vampire with a soul but if he loses said soul he becomes a monster...so therefore that one didn't work, then I dated a human but he was involved with military and did experiments on vampires and stuff...we broke up because he got into some...bad stuff...then it was another vampire who ended up getting his soul back for the main purpose of being with me...and now...here I am."

"I think I can top that...I'm in love with this vampire...he loves me...I lose my virginity to him and that causes him to lose his soul, and then he wreaks havoc on my loved ones...torturing me mentally and emotionally while physically torturing and killing them." she nodded. "Oh and then I had to kill him...but not before his soul was returned to him...so I had to kill the man I loved."

"I can top that. The bitch who turned me, didn't want to actually turn me. She wanted to only turn my brother, I was just a casualty, she wanted nothing to do with me. I waste 145 years of my life trying to find her, thinking she's locked in some damn tomb, it was like an obsession, we get the tomb open and she's not there." Damon said. "Then she randomly shows to screw us all up, I found out she's sleeping with a werewolf, still wants my brother, and to this day is more in love with him than she is with me, even though he wants nothing to do with her."
